Have you been to Wet N Wild or Big Surf? These two water parks in the Phoenix are well known for their rides, slides and wave pools!

  • Picnic Areas available

  • Special Toddler area with slides
  • Shaded areas for water play
  • Life jackets available to borrow
  • Tubes available for rent
  • Lockers available for rent
  • Season Passes available, special days and deals for season pass holders
  • special deals for after $4 pm
  • dive in movies and other special holiday events


  • stairs can be hot (concrete)
  • if you are not a season pass holder, there is a charge for parking
  • very busy, long waits in line
  • outside food is only allowed if there are allergies


Big Surf


  • Easy to get to in East Valley (Tempe) off 202
  • Has a toddler area with a small pool
  • Parking is Free
  • Season Pass holders get a nice deal and often have Groupon deals
  • Large area for picnics and special events
  • Surfing classes in the wave pool
  • First and longest running wave pool in the United States
  • Slides and more



  • Slippery areas and hills-Bring flip flops
  • Other than the toddler small pool area, no great slides for the 4 and under crowd
  • Smaller than Wet N Wild
  • No outside food permitted
