A few days ago I had a house showing up in the West Wing Area of Peoria (I’m also a REALTOR®!) and I was early so I took a look around at the area. I found West Wing Park off of Pleasant Valley Parkway and I can’t wait to go back with the kids-and a less dressy outfit.
If you are looking for a scenic area and a playground a little bit out of your usual path, I highly suggest this quiet park. There was no one there when I went, so I was able to snap quite a few pictures.
This sign greets you from the street. Just so you know, Westwing Parkway is a divided road, so if you come from the south/east, you will have to make a U turn to get into the park.
When you enter the parking lot from the road, there is this beautiful sign.
A few swings and sand! Bring those sand toys!
A nice covered place to sit and watch the kids play-and maybe even grab a sip of coffee!
And the beautiful play grounds! There was one for the bigger kids and one toddler one as well. All covered!
This is the toddler play ground.
A trip to the park isn’t complete without a stop to a restroom, which this park has! Yay!
