We Rock the Spectrum-Scottsdale

Closed as of 2018

I had heard about We Rock the Spectrum from another mom and really wanted to try it out. I knew that it had something to do with helping kids with sensory issues and/or autism, but I really wanted to check it out.

My kids aren’t autistic, but we were openly welcomed to We Rock the Spectrum. My oldest, Munchie, has always been very sensitive to other kids needs and really was involved with the other kids. It was a wonderful experience for our whole family. While I do have a degree in psychology, I do not know everything about children with sensory needs. Being in We Rock the Spectrum gave me the motivation to learn some more about it, so I could appropriately explain to my children what was going on and how to be helpful with those kids who are different, but not judge.

There were lots of great swinging, climbing and moving parts all around We Rock the Spectrum. Kids were wearing socks and not wearing socks (but no shoes are permitted).

This lovely area had climbing bars, a rope climb, a rock wall climb ad these nice squishy landing pads. I loved how the trees made it look so cozy in this nook.

This swing was a favorite for Giggles.

The zip line was Munchie’s favorite

Dimple’s favorite was the little cooking station. Next to it was a lot of dress up clothes.

There is also an art station  (with all the supplies up high, great thinking!) and there are two tables with puzzles and small activities like legos, Mr Potato head and more.

The bathroom also had a great changing table, which is always good when you have little ones! There were even reminder labels on what to do when using the bathroom.

Giggles reached the top and rang the bell!

And the kids had a blast rolling in this tube!

There is a party room as well if you want to have a party here, and there’s a trampoline (for kids only!). We Rock The Spectrum also offers camps and classes!

My children truly enjoyed themselves, and Munchie keeps asking to go back to that fun Zip line place. We Rock the Spectrum has only been open about 3 months, but I was amazed by their cleanliness and friendly atmosphere. I’m looking forward to returning soon.
