This past weekend we did a donation/photo shoot with a person I met through my blog, Sergio DeSoto at a park in Vistancia, and then wanted look for a new park in Peoria. I looked at my phone and found that Terramar Park wasn’t too far from Vistancia.
At 67th and Happy Valley Rd, Terramar Park is in the midst of schools and commercial areas, so its easy to almost miss the park completely. However, it backs up to a neighborhood and has a bit of quietness about it as well. The parking lot is a bit tight and there are not many spaces, but, there is plenty of grassy area and it is far enough away from the busy road to make you feel secure about having quite a few young ones scampering about.
This park had bathrooms!
A nice shaded Ramada to hang out in, near the playground!
Have both big kid and baby swings that are out of the way, and near a big grassy area.
And, oh, did I mention the shaded playground?
I especially loved this park because there was a “toddler” playground and a “big kid” playground and they weren’t too far from each other, which I have seen in a lot of parks. With having three kids five and under, I have to keep my eyes on all of them and having them go to different areas can be a little unsettling (and nerve rattling).
Great climbers for those kids who like to be monkeys.
And plenty of Slides.
Munchie loved the straight slide. He called it “The best slide ever”
And, just in case you want to be a little dizzy, you have the circle slide!
There was also a great rock wall.
We can’t forget about the toddler playscape!
Lots of slides
And things Giggles wants to make into slides.
And, steering wheels!
Terramar park in Peoria has lots of great, fun things for every kid. My kids wished we could have stayed longer, but it was getting near nap time for Dimples. Definitely a great park if you have to do some shopping in the Happy Valley area and need a pit stop for fun!
