We love exploring new parks, and it is the perfect season! Cool and almost fall like, for the desert!
We checked out Sundance Park in Peoria, which is just a bit north of Sahuaro Ranch Park in Glendale. Sundance Park is located at 71st and W Desert Cove Ave.
It is about a half hour drive from Surprise, but it was a fun and relatively quiet park.
There were two different covered play areas (Yay Shade for the summer!!) This was the “big kids” playscape.
And, you can be like Munchie and find this spinning wheel, which is supposed to be for your arms, and even sit on it!
This was the toddler playground, which was also shaded.
I was surprised the toddler area had the climbing circles, net climb and a small monkey bar area, but, the slide was good for the wee toddlers that are just walking. This is definitely an area that you would want to be watchful of the littlest ones.
Two shaded ramadas with picnic benches.
Two big kid swings and two baby swings, but not under a shade!
There was also a bathroom (YAY during potty training)
And a nice hill for rolling down!
There was also a huge green space area with a sidewalk all around which made it popular for walkers. A tennis court and basketball court was also available.
A very colorful bench was on the East side of the playground!
And a beautiful tree towards the northeast part of the park!
This was a great park for kiddos who want to run, parents who might want to run with their kids, or kids who have a lot of energy. My kids enjoyed this quiet park that was near Sundance Elementary School. There is a parking lot as well, so off street parking, shaded playgrounds and bathroom facilities make this a great place to check out!
