Fun Things to Do in Surprise!

As a resident of Surprise, I’m always discovering new nooks and crannies of fun around our city. Here are some great places to go right here in Surprise!

Indoor Places

Luv 2 Play

Reems and Bell- This highly anticipated indoor play area opened in 2017 to much fanfare. Luv 2 Play is not only a play places for kids babies-12, but their corporate headquarters is located in Surprise as well. Luv 2 Play constructs play equipment for places world wide, and we are lucky enough to have our own play center located right here!

Uptown Alley Surprise-

Great for Kids, teens and adults, Uptown Alley At Litchfield and Waddell provides a great place to play games, shoot pool, bowl and even a laser war! Uptown Alley also has a full service restaurant, bar and a nightclub if you are looking for a date night!

Aqua Tots

Located at Bell at West Point Parkway (right near Dutch Bros), Aqua Tots is a great place for kids to learn how to swim in an indoor, temperature controlled environment! They also provide spaces for birthday parties, as well as lessons and swim teams!

Chick Fil A

Located in Surprise Towne Center (Target Lot) at Bell and Grand, Chick Fil A provides a friendly fast food restaurant experience with a play area and special themed family nights. Every month, something is going on for families to get involved!


Located at Bell at 303, This is one of three McDonald’s in Surprise and offers a great play area for toddlers.

Surprise Angels

Located at Foxfire Road (Dysart and Bell), Surprise Angels offers gymastics and has open gym days and lessons for kids 3-17 as well as competitions!

Bling Tour

Located at Greenway and Reems, Bling Tour has tumbling classes, cheer and dance classes, as well as tot times during the week

Northwest Regional Library

Located on Bullard Ave Across from the Baseball Stadiums, Northwest Regional Library provides a children’s area, teen area and lots of activities for the whole Family

Outdoor Spaces and Places!

We love being in the outdoors, and luckily Surprise has SO many great places to go during ALL seasons!

Surprise Aquatic Center  (Pool)-Bullard Ave

This complex has lap lanes, two slides, and a zero entry area. The Surprise Aquatic Center also hosts all of the swim meets for the high schools as well as city groups, and private and group lessons.

Hollyhock Pool

Located at Greenway and West Rimrock in Surprise (north east of Grand), the Hollyhock pool offers slides, lap lanes and a zero entry area as well!

Marley Park/Heritage Park Splashpad

Located next to the Marley Park Elementary School, this splashpad has shade and lots of water features, as well as a small park great for toddlers, baseball fields and greenspace.

Veramonte Park and Splash Pad

Located at Litchfield and Cactus, Veramonte Park got an upgrade of bathrooms and a splash pad a few years ago. There is ample green space, along with a great playground and a baseball field.

Surprise Farms Community Park

Located at 175th Ave and Surprise Farms Loop south, this park is new as of 2016 and has a splashpad, bathrooms, playground for toddlers and big kids a skate park, basketball court and lots of greenspace.

Asante Park-

One of our favorite Parks off of 163rd and Pat Tillman Blvd, this park is in the under developed Asante Neighborhood that is going through some revitalization after the housing crash of 2008-2009. This park boasts bathrooms, ball fields, exercise trail, Veteran’s memorial, and playground!

Bicentennial Park

Located at Nash and Grand Street. This park has play areas, bathrooms and green space. Recommended for kids over five or those with great climbing ability!

Stonebrook Park

Located close to North Parkview Place and Mountain View, Stonebrook Park had a make over and looks great for wee ones to big ones! There is ample green space to play as well as a non busy road to park on!

Sierra Montana Park

Located in the Sierra Montana community (Spring Lane and Sierra Montana Loop), this park has great greenspace, a cute little bridge for kids and a great playground. However, bathrooms are not readily accessible except when the Recreation Center is open.

Surprise Community Park

Located right next to the library and the Aquatic center, this park has a dog park, a small urban lake, a walking trail, pickleball courts, tennis courts, volleyball courts, and of course a huge playground and bathrooms!
