I always think of March as “Comes in like a Lion and out Like a Lamb”. Luckily, I think we will have lamb-like weather throughout the month!

As usual, there are great things happening throughout the Valley. Spring Training is back, Fairs and Festivals and so much more!

Sunday, March 1

  • La Gran Fiesta– at Scottsdale Civic Center park from noon-4pm Free Admission. Celebrate Mexican and Chicano culture. Family friendly activities, vendors, crafts
  • Lego Kidsfest– University of Phoenix Stadium, 1 Cardinals Drive Glendale, AZ. Session I 9am-1:30pm, Session II 3pm-730pm
  • Lost Dutchman Days  Apache Junction Rodeo Grounds-Tomahawk and Lost Dutchman Blvd. Carnival and more!

  • Out West Balloon Fest-Loop 101 and Glendale Avenue, Glendale 6am-11am (5k fun run at 8am, balloon launch at 8am) and 4pm-9pm Vendor Market, Kidszone, food vendors, live music, hot air balloon glow, night skydiving demo
  • Kite Flying Festival -11am to 5pm at Fountain Park 16705 E Ave of the Fountains, Fountain Hills, AZ. Kite Flying, food, Arts and crafts, Children’s Activities, Jewelry, Music
  • Falcon Field Airport Open House 9am-2pm 4636 E Fighter Aces Drive, Mesa. Displays of military, public safety, recreational, training and restored vintage aircraft, flyovers, food, music and kids activities. Free admissions and parking.
  • Aloha Festival Aloha Festival at Tempe Beach Park March 7 & 8 10am-5pm. Food, Dancing and Fun
  • My Nana’s Best Tasting Salsa Challenge 300 E Indian School Road, Phoenix, AZ, Children 12 and under free. Tastings of Salsa, Chips, Margaritas and a Kids Zone with rock wall, inflatables and more!
