There is nothing quite like visiting 2 parks in one! When I saw these on a map last Monday, I knew we had a double header headed our way. It is also near the Wildflower North Park we had visited a while ago!
Estrella Vista North is right near Desert Star school in Goodyear, in the Estrella Vista Neighborhood.
The park is just to the South of it, and can be reached from Lower Buckeye./157th Avenue. Parking is on the street and Parallel parking (my personal favorite…not). But, it was not busy on a Monday morning after school was in session. Since we homeschool, we are on an alternative schedule!
There are also no bathrooms at this park or Estrella Vista South, so make sure that everyone uses the bathroom before you get here. The closest availability for bathrooms is at N Estrella Parkway and Van Buren Street at the Safeway/Jack in the Box corner.
This playground was a smaller but newer one. There was plenty of green space to run in, and some beautiful trees. The kids liked the playground (shaded!) and the ramada that was right next to it was also shaded with a picnic bench. It had a mulch for the landscaping, which I know a lot of moms prefer!
There was a roller slide (ouch for parents,) a crazy slide and some climbing features. I would not recommend this for toddlers!
There were a few different climbing options, as well as stairs to get to the two slides.
A twisted rope obstacle. I climbed up it too! Eeek
Little climbing circles and the zippy slide. Barely fit an adult butt on that one! HAHA!
