Are you looking for a cool little park for kids 5+ in Goodyear? De Paz Park is located a little south of i10 and West of Dysart Road. It is also close to Loma Linda Park in Goodyear as well! We ran into De Paz Park on our way home from Wings of Freedom tour at the Goodyear Airport.
The Playground at De Paz Park also has a little greenspace as well as a playground and basketball court. There is no parking lot, but the neighborhood is quiet, so on the Street Parking is not too dangerous.
There was a lit basketball court, and lit walkways throughout De Paz Park.
There were swings (no baby swings and not under a shade), and this hand pedal thing. I don’t quite get it?
The playscape reminded me of quite a few other playscapes, like Tolleson Veteran’s Park! There were two speaker phones, a web to climb and a small dramatic play area. This park was best for good climbers, as there isn’t much for toddlers to do. There is a sizeable greenspace for kids to run and play.
Lots to climb and swing from, and spin at De Paz Park.
The small dramatic play area was not in the shade, unfortunately.
Slide and the speakerphone. Unfortunately, for little ones, the slide access is tricky. For bigger kids, they are all in!
There was a small community garden space as well.
By the playground an the basketball court there was a large concrete area. I’m not exactly sure why, but if you have a a kid that has a bike or a scooter, there are sidewalks surrounding the park and this slab. This park is great for great climbers (4+) and kids who want a space to run around. The grass area wasn’t completely flat as there was space for dips for water retention. Unfortunately, there are no restrooms in this park!
