Updated December 2016!
I have to say that I love drive thrus, especially when we are all tired and home seems to be the best place to let the kids run loose.
My husband had gone to Chick-fil-a with the kids a few times on his own, and I went sans kids a few times, but I had never brought them into the play area! WHAT?!? So, we finally did that the other night, and it was really cool. And when I mean cool, the AC was blasting in that place (so, if you aren’t running around, mom or dad, you may want a sweater!)
There are a few seats that are great to sit and watch the kids play. We sat right by the door to the play area to eat first. Yes, we made our kids sit and eat and wait to go and play. TORTURE is my middle name!
54″ or smaller is the height limit, but if you have wee ones that are barely toddling or can’t climb well yet, this place probably isn’t for you. If you have older children and wee ones that barely wobble, there is some space on the floor for them to bumble around, but they probably won’t get much out of the climber, unless you go with them.
And, in that case, GOOD LUCK!
December 2016 ADDITIONS!
The play area has totally been redone since our last post!
I liked that the play area no longer had access to right in the front window of the restaurant. It made it a bit darker in there, but I felt a little safer. The kids area still had access to two benches that were up against the glass window too. There were benches to sit and shoe storage underneath them.
And the bottom area, which had enough room for the toddlers to roam around.
We also checked out the Chick Fil-A craft night, and it was an amazing success. I was super excited that it was organized, and well staffed. There was so many wonderful staff people helping the parents (like us that have multiple kids who need things at the same time), and they had an organized system to see Santa and Santa Cow! And my kids got a little gift bag in addition to their ornament to bring home (which was plastic, Thank you!!). They did have the kids “fill out a note” for the recipient of the ornament that was a little long winded for the younger ones, but my kids had a great time painting the ornament anyhow (note:bring playclothes to craft nights!).
I was also excited how they decorated too!
