While we were at Tumbleweed Park in Chandler, we wanted to check out a few others in the area. This park had a lot to offer-and it wasn’t as busy as Tumbleweed park either. There is also a Chandler City Pool right next to the park, as well as a lot of tennis courts!
This park has HUGE , beautiful trees. I loved how shady it was, and really made us feel nice and cool.
There was more parking behind the playground which is accessible from the South on West Toledo Street, or there is a small driveway (one lane) that goes past the park and pool. That lot is nearest the playground, but a little harder to get to.
The large playground was really cool and had a nice ramp option. My kids really liked the different climbers that it offer. I thought one part of the playscape was particularly funny.
The handcuff holders! HAHA!
The Big kids area had a lot to offer, that even the little ones could enjoy!
Most of the two playsets were completely under the shade, other than a few climbing things and the big slide!
There was also a few different types of swings for kids-a baby swing, a mobilty swing and four other big kid swings, all nicely put under the trees. A mix of rubber and mulch surrounded the swings, and it was just steps to the north of the playground.
Bathrooms and a huge ramada was available, along with some nicely placed picnic benches under the trees.
This park is an excellent one for those warmer spring days where you need some shade. I really would drive cross the valley for this park-as it had a little bit for everyone, and had the tennis courts and pool too!
