If home repair gets you a little scared, APES (which stands for Arizona Plumbing Expert Services) can help you with more than just an overflowing toilet.
APES was officially started in 2016, but their background in plumbing and operations goes back to to the early 2000s in California. However, Ralph Flores, Brian Garrison
Although APES started out as just plumbing, they soon realized there was a huge need for HVAC technicians.
APES also offers 24/7 Emergency services through either their phone line (you reach their people, not a call service) or their online request a service call form. I personally love that they have this option because sometimes you cannot be on the phone. Their staff can email or text you the times a service tech can be at your home, so you never have to be on the phone! YAY!
Service technicians from APES are all full-time employees and come in marked and logo-ed vehicles. The technicians also have price handbooks and pricing on their phones so that customers know that prices are se. Also, technicians will also kindly advise customers on the cost benefit of replacing versus repairing the appliance or item that is broken.
What things you can do for your home before you need a technician from APES
I spoke with one of the owners, Ralph Flores, about things you can do regarding taking care of your home. While everyone will eventually need some repairs, there are things you can do for preventative maintenance.
- Flush out your hot water heater once a year. Hot water heaters usually last 6-10 years on average and this will help the lifespan of your hot water heater.
Camerathe sewer line (preferably before you buy the home) to see if there are any issues with the line to the street and any deterioration that needs to be fixed
- Have a water treatment system in your home. The water in the Phoenix area is very hard and can damage many of your appliances that use water and your fixtures. This will help add life to them and help your water taste better.
- Tune up the AC unit every year with a professional
- Change the AC filters monthly
- Make sure the size of the AC unit is
rightsize for your home. It doesn’t matter what the SEER rating is if the AC is too small for the home.
When you need a tech, APES will be there
